BSI Promotes Ken Budde to Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Chattanooga, Tennessee, February 19, 2010 – Burner Systems International (BSI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ken Budde to Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer.
“Ken has been an integral part of the BSI Corporate Finance Team over the past four years as he has served the role of Corporate Controller. Ken’s contributions and experience have been crucial to our success as we have navigated the economic turmoil over the past two years and as a result we are a stronger company today.” said Eric Griesemer, President and COO of BSI.
Prior to coming to BSI, Mr. Budde had 17 years of experience in corporate finance, including 11 years as the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Arcade Marketing, Inc in Chattanooga, and 6 years as the Chief Financial Officer of Southwestern Publishing in Cincinnati, OH.

BSI Extends Production to Turkey

Chattanooga, Tennessee, December 10, 2010 – Burner Systems International (BSI) plans to open a production facility in Izmir, Turkey, in January 2010. Production at the new facility will include components and value-added assemblies for the residential gas appliance industry.
“We are pleased to announce the planned opening of our BSI Turkey factory. This facility will further strengthen our position in the marketplace and underlines our commitment to the global appliance industry,” said Eric Griesemer, President & COO. “Having a production facility in Turkey provides BSI the opportunity to seek more labor-intensive business opportunities in the European region."
BSI’s current manufacturing footprint in Europe includes factories in England and France. The addition of the Turkey plant brings BSI closer to several appliance manufacturers that have migrated to Eastern Europe and Turkey.

A case study featuring BSI's product development capabilities is now available at Appliance Magazine's website.
The article describes how BSI utilizes multiple tools such as advanced solid modeling software, computational fluid-dynamics software, rapid prototyping, and application testing to design and test the latest innovations in gas appliance controls and burners.
These tools have resulted in a 50% reduction in the time it takes BSI to conceptualize a solution, and bring it to market.

Burner Systems International (BSI), a leading supplier in the gas appliance industry, has recently acquired certain manufacturing assets from Schmitter Ireland Ltd. These assets include fabrication equipment used in the production of supply tubes and rails. BSI is currently installing this equipment in their Bedford, England manufacturing facility.
A company spokesman commented, “This investment further underlines BSI’s commitment to this industry and the European market. With this strategic purchase, we are adding to our already broad range of fabrication and assembly capabilities.”
BSI’s activity in Europe includes production and commercial sites in France, UK, and Turkey. BSI designs and manufactures gas components such as safety valves, taps, burners, manifolds / rails, supply tubes, and various fittings. Many of these components are assembled into systems providing complete turn-key solutions for gas appliance manufacturers.
